It would be very useful to use it in this fashion and drag around it with a left mouse button (when drawing in the view window is blocked) as it would make panning easier in bigger artworks. I mean, you can use middle button or space, but it’s not always an option (hint: Laptop trackpads) or is too cumbersome to use.
