Cant install version 8.0.9.0 on linux

I can install and run the legacy version (7.2.8) with wine, but I get an error when trying to install the latest current version:

Internal Error: Cannot expand “commonpf64” constant on this version of windows

I have winecfg set to windows 7 and have tried windows 10 aswell, any help is appreciated.

P.S when are we getting native linux support?

UPDATE: I have managed to fix the issue on my end, I was still running Ubuntu 22.04 with wine version 6… Ive since upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 and wine version 9, everything seems to install and run fine now.

There won’t be a native Linux version. I need to rely on Wine and I’m depending on its compatibility with all the Linux flavors and Windows API changes :confused:
