Color Picker – Pick once

How do I get Pro Motion NG to save that I enabled the Pick once option of the Color Picker?
Or do I really have to enable it every time I start the program – which is several times a day?
Is there maybe a hidden settings (text?) file, where I can change more options than inside of the program settings?

That’s a good idea.

It would be great if this setting could be saved along with the other preferences.

Can confirm this behavior.
Never noticed this before. Possibly an oversight/bug? But maybe because the alternative option for the same functionality does the job well enough already.

Alternative option / workaround:

  • Assuming you have the same shortcut assigned above, while drawing using a tool other than a color picker (e.g. brush grab tool) -
  1. Press and hold the Ctrl button on your KB to enable the tool.
  2. Pick your color like usual.
  3. Release the Ctrl button on your KB once you’re done picking a color for your Current first color / Current second color.
    – This will give you the ‘Pick once’ effect.

** Note:

  • You can change the color picker tool settings while holding your assigned shortcut key.

It’s a bug. Will be fixed with next release. It’s connected to the setting “Double click to edit”. They should be mutually exclusive, but one does not disable the other in the settings window and on restart the “Double click to edit” wins, leading to a reset of “Pick once”.
Disable “Double click to edit” as workaround.
