This is pretty self explanatory. My expectation is that pasting would function as it used to and overwrite the new frame.
Well… 
I changed that recently because other users found it weird that the whole frame was erased. All this will be sorted with the floating selection functions I’m currently working on.
Will think about reverting this in the meanwhile.
