How to copy selected area to clipboard?

I wanted to copy a selected area of my drawing by pressing ctrl+c or something similar, and then quickly paste it on another software to do aditional stuff, but I cant copy anything, neither export only the selected area. Is there something I can do?

Menu Edit/Copy Frame (Ctrl + C) copies the whole frame to clipboard.
If you want a certain portion to be copied then pick up as brush and use menu Edit/Copy Brush.
With the next release Ctrl + C will copy the selected area.
