The problem is with Microsoft, but maybe someone would be able to help here.
I don’t even know what this thing is called and it’s a challenge to google-troubleshoot it. Whenever I engage with the bottom right of the corner (here, I’m working with the color palette and masking tools) this bullshit pop-up appears, steals the focus out of my software and prevents me from working smoothly. How do I disable this?
It’s mostly happening when I’m working with a graphics tablet (Wacom Intuos Pro M). I couldn’t google the notification/touch settings, because it’s flooded with tablet (mobile device) results that deal with a completely different phenomenon.
Honestly, I desperately need Pro Motion NG for Linux…
Nevermind, found the solution. I’ll leave it here in case anyone needs it:
Here’s how to disable it:
OPTION 1: Disable the Action Center Entirely
This will prevent it from opening—even accidentally:
Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
(Note: This only works on Pro/Enterprise editions. If you have Home edition you’ll need a workaround.)
Go to:
User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Start Menu and Taskbar
Find and double-click “Remove Notifications and Action Center”.
Set it to Enabled, then click Apply and OK.
Restart Explorer or reboot your PC.
OPTION 2: Disable Touchpad/Tablet Edge Gestures (if supported)
Some Wacom drivers or Windows settings treat certain edge swipes as gestures. Let’s try disabling those.
Open Windows Settings → Devices → Pen & Windows Ink
Disable “Show Visual Effects” and “Show cursor” if available.
Disable “Pen shortcuts” if you see that option.
Open the Wacom Tablet Properties app:
Go to the “Mapping” or “Functions” tab.
If there’s any gesture setting (like edge swipe, radial menu, express key triggering), disable or reassign it.
