Hello Jan.cosmigo I create monochromatic 3D video games that’s what I do. Lately I’ve had problems selecting the black color. As you can clearly see in fig A
my background transparency is set to value of 0 85,85,85 not black(shown in purple) but for some reason it always shows up as my transparency is black! (Shown in blue) Not only that but it shows black as being set to transparency(shown in red). This is a big problem it makes it so I cannot draw with black at all and as you may or not know I do not have that many colors to chose from from the start without black I can only draw with 2 colors…If you need to reference the file I sent it to Jan@cosmigo.com it is called Please help with my problem with alpha modes post.Because of the nature of the file being for work I sent it to you rather than being sent publicly. Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi @Morintari ,
your project has color index 1 defined as transparent. And this palette entry is black. Please select another black entry for drawing black, e.g. index 3.
What is the reason for selecting color index 1 as transparent? the default is using index 0, but of course also other indexes are possible. It depends on the use case.

Ok Jan.cosmigo, I set my alpha to 0 and I still can’t draw with black any ideas?
Can you add a new screenshot? Maybe this gives me a hint now.
I assume that color 0 has the transparency pattern now which shows that it’s the transparent color and that you select color index 1 or 3 which are both black and then draw with it.
I sent you the screenshot thank you for helping me with this.
it still shows that color index 1 is defined to be transparent:
Either you change the transparent color index to 0 which will of course require to replace all pixels that are now using 1 to use 0.
Or you use the other black entries marked with the green arrow to draw black.
