Even after releasing the LMB, as long as the preview window is active, the zoom tool stays in it’s pressed state.
It seems to release the state once it switches windows as seen later in the demo:

I’m unable to duplicate this so far. When you restart the program and create a new project… can you make it then happen immediately?
