Support .GPL palette files

The support of GIMP palette files would be a great improvement.
These files are more and more supported by some graphic programs (like Aseprite) and can be easily imported/exported because they’re only simple text files with RGB values and an optional color name.

I’ve collected a lot of different color palettes over the time (http://colorpalettes.ravetracer.de) and would like to use them straight in PM without converting them into a supported format.

Seems to be a simple text file. Should be easy to add.
Impressive collection of palettes.
I also need to add some more built in palettes… if you have some that you would share then I’d be glad to include them.

If you like some of the palettes, you can take them from my site. The download is available for Adobe Swatch Exchange, Adobe Color and GIMP Palette file.

I took them from different sources and added details about the source in the description field. Some are from game designers, some were provided on other websites for free and a small amount is created by myself.
Mostly the palette title also gives a hint about the source.

Hi Christian,

taking something from the Web and including it in Pro Motion which is a closed source/commercial product requires clear definitions of copyright and permissions. Otherwise that can mean lots of trouble.
Which palettes would you suggest to include? I would then try to get contact to the author and ask for permission and/or check the licensing that is expressively given/granted.

I really like the palettes of Grafixkid. Maybe you can ask him if you can use his palettes: http://grafxkid.tumblr.com/post/137368818644/grafxkids-color-palette-history
